Bursaries, in the amount of $1,000 each, are provided every year to a maximum of ten students in the Lakeland who wish to pursue post secondary education or apprenticeship program.
Applications are available at both Bonnyville and Cold Lake branches and are supplied to all high schools in the Bonnyville, Cold Lake and Glendon areas in March of each year. Download a (pdf) version of the submission form here.
The Board of Directors selects the recipients based on the following criteria:
Successful recipients may enroll in any recognized and accredited post secondary institution in Canada to study on a full-time basis. Alternatively, students enrolled in a Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) are also eligible to apply. Recipients must be able to provide proof of enrolment (in the form of a tuition receipt) and must agree to have their name and graduation photo published.
The Board of Directors’ decision is final and is not open to debate. Applications and accompanying documentation will not be returned to the applicants.
