March is Fraud Prevention Month
Scammers are getting smarter, but this quick 3-second check can stop them before they drain your money.
Before you click a link, send money, or reply to a message, PAUSE and check these 3 things:
1. Sender – Is the email, phone number, or profile slightly misspelled or unfamiliar?
2. Pressure – Are they rushing you with “urgent,” “act now,” or “limited time”?
3. Payment request – Are they asking for gift cards, crypto, or unusual transfers?
If any one of these shows up, STOP. It’s likely a scam.
Legitimate companies never pressure you or ask for strange payment methods.
